Meet Esther

Esther Kim is an accomplished violinist and violist whose vibrant career spans performance, education, and music business. Esther holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Kennesaw State University and a Certificate in Music Business, where she studied under the tutelage of Helen Kim and Yinzi Kong. At Kennesaw State University, she served as Concertmaster of the Kennesaw State University Symphony and was the first violinist of the honorary John and Linda Cooke Scholarship Quartet. 

Esther’s artistic career includes noteworthy summer residencies, including the Concertmaster Program and Orchestral Institute at the Brevard Summer Music Festival, finalist placement in the Jacqueline Avent Concerto Competition at the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and a recent engagement as a violist at the International Chamber Music Academy in Ochsenhausen, Germany. 

Esther currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, as the founder and CEO of Eden Strings, a collective of string musicians that performs for a range of events including weddings, ceremonies, and private functions. She has also performed with numerous ensembles across Georgia, including the City Springs Theater Company in Sandy Springs, the Macon Pops, Rome Symphony Orchestra, the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra, and the Dekalb Symphony Orchestra. She also serves as violinist on the Passion City Church worship team.

Beyond performance, Esther enjoys teaching private lessons and working with students throughout the metro-Atlanta area. She has also worked administratively for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s fundraising department.

When she is not playing music, Esther enjoys being active in her church community, trying new food and coffee spots, attending concerts, and learning new languages.
